Where: Onset Bay Center, 186 Onset Ave., Wareham, MA 02558

What:

Join the Onset Bay Center for the Pumpkin Paddle Parade. Carve a pumpkin, dress up in your spookiest costume, and paddle with your pumpkin around Wickets Island! This family-friendly event is free and open to all members of the community!

Please bring your own pumpkin to carve or decorate. Carving tools will be provided. Participants may bring their own board, kayak or other paddle craft, or book one of ours for free. Double kayaks are available as well, and a good option for families with younger children. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please make sure all costumes are safe and appropriate. Spectators are welcome to stay on the beach or pier and watch the paddlers as they parade around the bay!

Life jackets are required to be worn at all times while on the water for all participants. OBC lifejackets will be available to anyone who needs to use them.

Schedule:

3:00 PM: Pumpkin Carving in the Onset Bay Center

5:00 PM: Ready on the Beach to Launch

5:30 PM: Paddle Parade around Wickets Island!

(OBC staff and safety boats will lead the way!)
