Victorian Houses in the Onset Beach Area

Onset, in the 1800’s, was a seaside resort town for wealthy merchants vacationing from the Boston area. Today, the charm and flavor of the Victorian village remains with beautiful Victorian homes sprinkled throughout this quaint little waterfront town. In this section, I will post some the gorgeous Victorian homes in the area. This section will grow as I add more photos. I think it is one of the distinctions between Onset and Cape Cod, the historical aspect and the architectural style. Plus, unlike Cape Cod, there are things to do in Onset throughout the year, where the Cape essentially shuts down after the summer season, then again, I am biased!

The Wareham Historical Society’s plaque program commemorate houses like these, within Onset Village, that meet certain age and architetural requirements.

This grey shingled home with wrap around porch and waterfront views sold in April 2019 for just $219k! The owners are currently in the middle of restoring the home. The charm of home and the proximity to a private beach, and restoration turn this into an amazing investment.
