Do you have a long list of checkout instructions or housekeeping items? That would be a NO
There has been a lot of negative publiclity on social media that staying in short-term rentals come with a long list of items that owners ask of guests, things such as do the dishes, do the laundry, wipe down the counters, mow the lawn, clean the toilets, etc. If you were in a hotel, you would not have to do any of these things, right? And isn’t that what the cleaning fee is for??
Finding the Castle
The story of how I came to own this beautiful house is an interesting one. It was my mother’s birthday, a significant milestone one. My sister and I were planning a suprise party for her. Mom was under the impression that I would not be able to travel from where I live in North Carolina to Massachusetts for the occasion. Unbeknownst to her, my family was planning to be there and rented an Airbnb in Plymouth, Ma. on the beach to make it more of a vacation. However, the host cancelled the reservation and homes in Onset/Wareham were showing up in the search results. The photos of Onset Beach looked amazing and we rented an apartment within walking distance.
